is a true nature bounty where you have all the splendour and charm to increase an appetite of traveller to travel more and more.

Through this article today we are going to discuss regarding the vistas of Do Drul Chorten Stupa of Gangtok which is the biggest one within the entire state. Although the diversity of the state is worth noticing but here most of the people follow the teachings of Buddhism and the glaring example of Buddhism hegemony within Gangtok can be trace from the site of Do Drul Chorten Stupa.

Located within the lines of hills which adjoin the class of Tibetology Institute the Stupa relates the preaching and wisdom of Lord Buddha and very evidently speaks the volume of religious potency. People here relate the Stupa with the common term of Phurba, which is believed to be the spiritual word in context of Buddhism.

Established in 1945, the Stupa is grilled with 108 prayer wheels and as per the believe Stupa was under the consideration of head of Nyingma sect of Tibetan Buddhism, Trulshik Rinpoche. When it comes to the prayer wheels one can witness the holy inscription which states the holy word Om Mani Padma Hum and as the local monks say one would require turning the wheels by saying this prayer to complete the Parikrama.

Stupa symbolizes the victory of peace over war and all the sects of Holy Stupa embraces Mandala sects of Dorjee Phurba at one ends and reflects the principles of Ka-gyur at the other. Inside the premises of Stupa you will witness eager monks trying to learn the objectives of their life and the old monks guiding them to achieve their goal.

Washed in purity of white, here one can witness the golden spire on the top of the Stupa and circling the perimeter of this pristine site you will get to see the grandeur statues of Guru Padmasambhava and Guru Lhakhang.
