Bandhavgarh National Park-

Vindhyas Ranges in the state of Madhya Pradesh, this exquisite National Park
is well known for preserving the endangered Royal Bengal Tigers. Bandavgarh which means brothers fort was once the hunting ground of the Maharajas of Rewa, but today it is one of the important national park of India as well as of Madhya Pradesh, where you can spot the highest numbers of Tigers, including the white tigers.

Location: It is located some 197 kms away north-east of Jabalpur
Fauna
Bandavgarh is well known for
giving shelters to various species of birds and animals, including various
plants as well. Coming to the point of Fauna, it is well known for having the
highest numbers of tiger’s population but apart from that, one can also see various
others species of animals that include Wild Boar, Chital, Chinkara, Nilgai,
Jackal, red jungle fowl, black kite, chausingha, spotted dear, sloth bear,
Bengal fox, Asiatic Jackal, Barking Dear and Leopards.
Things to Do
While out for a visit to Bandavagarh
National Park, don’t miss the opportunity to visit some 2000 years old fort,
Jeep Safari, Elephant Safari and photography.
Best time to visit: Between Octobers to June months, it is the best
time to visit. July-August and
September, the park remains closed for visitors.
Accessibility to Bandavgarh is
quite easy as it can be reached by all the means of transportation, Road, Train
and airways. The excellent
transportation facilities have made the accessibility much easier for tourists
to visit this national park any time of the year, except for those months,
where the park closed for tourists visit.
By Road the park is well
connected by the nearby towns and cities, nearest are Khajuraho, Umaria, Satna
and Jabalpur.
Umaria and Katni are the two
nearest railway station for Bandavgarh National Park. From the railway station
Umaria, the park is located at a distance of 35 kms while Katni is 100 kms
which would take 2 hrs drives to reach the national Park.

Tourists visiting this national
park do not have to worry about accommodation facilities as there are excellent
hotels and resorts available, which make the accommodation easier and

are few other deluxe and luxury resort which too are known for providing excellent
